Senior Design Engineer

Job Duties:

Analyze architectural plan, engineering plan, and technical data to determine the optimal design factors such as clearances, tolerances, locations, angles, Cross-linked Polyethylene (PEX) pipe routings, manifold and valve placements for water distribution system. Familiar with the pressure rating, available sizing and limitations of used PEX system. Design 2-dimentional isometric riser or top view layouts for ease of installation and maintenance, cost effectiveness, noise reduction, energy efficiency, resistance to freeze damage, minimizing wait time, durability and water conservation. Prioritize work load and coordinate with CAD drafters, construction managers, architects, field technician, manufacturer, and quality and scheduling departments. Research and develop design methods and standards while maintain design consistency among all drafters for three production lines. Automatize procedures with AutoCAD LISP programming. Structure the design components and verify the feasibility for bulk production. Expand function of design, extract data and convert to bill of material. Use TrueVIEW and Design Review to enhance compatibility.

CAD Drafter

Job Duties:

Responsible for designing and drawing plumbing layouts using AutoCAD for new construction projects based on builder and home-owner specifications. Plan, organize, and prioritize per the new construction schedule to ensure timely completion of drawings. Construct rough-ins and water-lines according to house specifications, city requirement (Outside wall thickness, water heater locations, numbers of hammer used, pressure in the pipes), builder preference and etc. Constantly communicate with field supervisor and builders about specification on CAD designs, and modify our drawing. Analyze architectural drawings, foundation engineering, specifications and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape and arrangement of plumbing components. Prepare Bill of Material and other construction documents. Sketch rough layouts and computes angles, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and location of pipe. Exam the whole house structural in the aspect of distance between water heater and plumbing features; size of pipes due to water pressure needed; location of water heater due to weather reason, to better the quality of our service. Involve in the design and developing of new plumbing systems styles for constructions.
